This beautiful oceanfront home has a new crofter that will accommodate the 5th Bedroom and loft! |New kitchen with granite, new cabinets, new baths, hard wood flooring, and all bathrooms upgraded with all new materials, new carpet throughout & more!

Stunning ocean views of South Beach and sunsets with the sound of crashing waves will invite you to stay at the Hartshorn House. Great for Families with children. . Private beach access. Beautiful wall of glass doors overlooks ocean. Great screened-in porch. Gorgeous ceramic tile in living and dining areas downstairs. Large living area.

Master has a King bed, private deck. Guest rooms have: 2 twins and 1 Queen bed. 1 Bunk bed . 1 Queen - In new Crofter plus tent size loft great for kids (2 twins in loft) Sleeps 10 total.

Three 4-passenger golf carts. We do not maintain or advertise bicycles at the home, you may rent bikes at Riverside Adventure or Coastal Urge on the Island. A BHI Club Membership is available but not included. 3 Day Stay stays off season are available, please inquire for details and rates. Taxes are not included, and are an additional 12.75%

We love Bald Head Island and have been vacationing there for many years. with friends. My wife planned this trip for my 75th Birthday and to get me away as I’ve been dealing with stage IV cancer and we desperately needed a vacation. That said, the house was nice and close to the beach so we were happy with that. It is dated a bit and needs some TLC. It was neat and clean but we found we had to go buy simple things like potato peeler, clean cookie sheets, the TV in the main living area never worked properly and had to bring Audrey over twice. She was great and helpful but that needs to be better, it went out so many times, no TV in the master bedroom, really ? The main garage door was impossible to open so we had to leave it up all week, the house needs a new door for sure. Also, in the area with the garbage as you walk in the wood planks are so uneven it was very dangerous and II tripped the first time I went in to get something. We feel these are necessary to mention and need to be dealt with. My wife loves the Island like I do but she said she wouldn’t rent this house again unless it was all properly addressed and fixed, sorry. In the satisfaction area I would rate it 3.5 stars but couldn’t figure out how to do it.

This home offers everything for a great vacation! The view is awesome, too! We love having our private foot path to the beach! The big front porch is a great place for late night fun! The 3 golf carts were perfect for everyone to share! The spacious living spaces are perfect fpr multiple family members. We'll be back every year!

DESPITE THE COLDER THATN USUAL TEMPERATURES, WE HAD THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. OUR FIRST RUN AT CHRISTMAS ON BALDHEAD COULD NOT HAVE GONE ANY BETTER. THE HOUSE FELT LIKE HOEM FOR A FEW DAYS AND SOME DECORATIONS BROUGHT FROM HOME. ONE EXCELLENT PART OF HARTSHORN WAS THE 3 GOLDCARTS. THEY WERE ALL IN GREAT CONDITION, THAT HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN OUR EXPERIENCE WHILE STAYING ON BALD HEAD. i AM NOT SURE WHEN CHRISTMAS WILL HAPPEN ON BHI AGAIN, BUT WE WILL DEFINITELY SEE HER THIS SUMMER!

Great house, but needs some TLC. Lots of small things need attention like toaster missing a knob, cooking pans need updating, etc. House smelled like fish when we checked in. House cleaners can back and made a second cleaning and we found out that the previous renters had left fish in the refrigerator and the smell never left our entire stay!!

We had a lovely time on the island. The only down fall was the country club. We paid $100 a person and were very limited to the time we could spend there. We will not pay that fee again.

This lovely home is situated right on the beach, with private boardwalk and lovely screened-in porch as well as an outside porch facing the ocean. The crofter sits aside the main house, offering an additional private retreat for guests. Clean and comfortable, with pretty decor. Full eat-in kitchen, with dining table for 8-10, three golf carts, comfy bedrooms and baths, living room with TV, chess table , and books for beach reading, this property offers everything you'd want in a rental by the sea and more.
